Annual Work Program

On an annual basis, the team of De Myle Krant sets a number of goals that concern both research and publications. This makes it possible to conduct targeted research and at the same time to prepare a number of articles for publication in De Krant or to organize events for its readers.

Focussed research

General:

  • The systematic checking of existing data against the quality criteria we have set ourselves.

  • Store approved data in a deduplicated central archive.

  • Parts of family trees that have been approved will be published on Geneanet under the username De Myle Krant.

Specific:

  • Try to link the Branch of Betekom (van Valere, John and Louis Meylemans) to the main branch.

  • Try to link the Branch of the 14 billekes  (dancing), Brecht, Sint Job in't Goor, to the main branch.

  • Mapping and documenting the emigration of John Mylemans' ancestor.

  • Check and complete the branch of Josephus Dominicus Meylemans (ancestor of the N, O and P branch and of Paul Meylemans) and the link with the main branch.

  • Digitize the obituaries and prayer cards concerning Mylemansen in Merksem and include the data in the database.
